How to Make an Easy Paper Football
Celebrate football season with your kids and show them how to make a paper football.
Football season is upon us and man are we excited.
There is something about sitting down with family and friends and watching a game that makes for the best day.
We of course have the most amazing game day appetizers on hand and we love the idea of having some fun football games off to the side to play during commercial breaks or halftime.
Growing up, we would play the paper football game ALL THE TIME. I remember making them in every color and my sister and I would flick those babies back and forth on the dining table.

How to Make a Paper Football
Start with a brown piece of paper.
fold the paper in half lengthwise.
Fold the paper in half again lengthwise. The width should now be a fourth of the size of the piece of paper.
Start on either the left side or right side of the paper. We are starting from the right side of the paper. Fold the bottom right corner up to the lineup with the top of the sheet of paper creating a triangle.
Fold the tip of the triangle in the top right corner over towards the paper.
Then fold the top right corner of the triangle down towards the bottom left corner along the fold along the long hypotenuse side of the triangle.
Continue folding making your way down the paper until you do not have enough paper for a full fold.
Take top left corner of the extra paper and fold a triangle (small) towards your large triangle shape.
Then using your index finger or thumb fold the small extra paper tail into the open fold of the paper triangle.
Viola, you have a paper football. Line
There really is not much to make a goal post.
Simply tape the two bending straws together in the middle to create the U shape.
Using a pair of scissors, cut a small hole in the bottom of the cup and stick the non-bending end of the third straw into the hole, and tape it into place. Last, bend the end of the third straw around the bottom middle of the U-shaped straws and tape it in place.
Viola! You have yourself a fun little football field.
Line up the football on one corner at the edge of the table and the goal at the other end and flick it towards the goal. Score a touchdown!
